Meals for senior groups

We work with senior centers, churches, and community organizations to plan meals around the people they serve. Real meals, made from scratch, with the same care we'd give our own family. Tell us how many people you're feeding and how often, and we'll build a plan that fits.

What we believe

Food is how people come together.

At a Food Ministry gathering, nobody sits and watches. Guests split into teams, take a job, and cook the meal themselves. Live cooking takes patience, so there's time to talk and laugh while it comes together.

By the end, everyone sits down to eat something they made, usually next to someone they didn't know when they walked in.

  1. Teamwork

Every guest has a role, from chopping to working the griddle.

  2. Learning

Real technique you can take home and use on a weeknight.

  3. Patience

Good food takes time, and the waiting is part of it.

  4. Connection

People leave with a full plate and new friends.

What it looks like

Under the pergola

Pizza & Dirty Soda

Six guests stretched their own dough, built their pizzas, and took turns at the oven, then finished the evening with dirty sodas topped with fresh whipped cream.

Under the pergola

Pergola Hibachi

A small group gathered around the flattop for an afternoon of hibachi, everyone taking a turn on the griddle and making the fried rice themselves.

On the block

Halloween Popcorn

We set up a tent and the popcorn machine for trick or treaters, with full size candy bars for every kid who stopped by.

In the neighborhood

Harvest Fest

A free Food Ministry stand at a neighborhood garden event, serving chili dogs, nachos, turkey chili, popcorn, and cold drinks to the neighbors.

Who's behind it

Chef MC Williams

MC has spent more than 20 years in food: running school kitchens, managing stadium concessions, developing products for food companies, and teaching cooking classes. Chicago born and raised, with family roots in Mississippi, he grew up where cooking for people was how you took care of them.

Food Ministry is where all of that comes home: teaching people about food, bringing them to the table, and feeding the community well.

From the test kitchen to the menu

MC works with food producers to get their products onto real plates. That means developing recipes, building dishes that work for schools and institutions, running tastings, and standing behind the product at food shows and meetings.

Concessions, handled

Fresh popcorn in the air, cold slushies, nacho cheese and chili, and drink stations that show up filled. Most rentals hand you a machine and a cleaning checklist. We bring it, set it up ready to serve, then come back to pick it up and clean it ourselves. You just enjoy your event.
